Had a quiet morning.
In the afternoon, we went to the Glenferrie Road festival.
Walked round and saw what was going on – the event was along the main road, with stalls and events, music, and loads of things for the children – bouncy castles and such and sideshows. In addition, most of the shops were open, and it was all very jolly. We also went to the craft fair in the town hall, which is actually a regular monthly event and coincided with the festival. There were lots of stalls, wow, babies are big business here all types of things for them – bibs, knitted clothes, cocoons, and many variety of bags (both baby and none baby) too. Also of course, soaps, wood stuff and and not as much wool as I thought there might be. There was a hand-spinning stall with both yarn and knitted goods – including some great hand warmers with frilly bits. There were 2 felt stalls – one was particularly good – she had nuno scarves – fabric felted round the edge mainly, plus some rather good wristbands, and various flower brooches and small items. The second was not so nice, heavily felted scarves and a few interesting wide sleeved vests.
Russ was struggling with his back so we went home on the tram.
We again had a wee rest and went round to see the family.
It was UK Mothers’ Day and my two lovely children sent me happy day texts – thanks.
